Open gallery
On April 2, Peter Olson, former Director of Legal Affairs at NATO and Assistant Legal Adviser at the State Department, gave a talk at Lewis & Clark. Mr. Olson identified competing principles of international law that are implicated by recent developments in Russia and Ukraine, and placed the situation in context by comparing it to other recent and historical conflicts. Mr. Olson also shared insights about careers and opportunities in international law. The event was part of a lecture series organized by the law school’s Global Law Program and the International Law Society, the local chapter of the International Law Students Association.
