We recently heard from international LLM students Viv Fernandes (Australia), and David Marin Cortes (Colombia) who are externing at the Center for International Environmental Law in Washington D.C. this summer (thanks to Prof. Wold).

David told us the following: “regarding our externship experience, it has been exciting to work with talented, committed and friendly attorneys in their areas of practice. We have felt that the whole staff involves us with the different aspects and activities of the organization and even, to share time outside the office.

CIEL has been the perfect place to achieve more practical experience in International Environmental Law with a Human Rights approach. We also have had the experience to do networking in meetings and talks and to be exposed to current and crucial discussions.

Finally, despite the humidity, it has been amazing to explore the city, do sightseeing, and learn what makes the United States the country that it is.”

Lewis & Clark Law School welcomes students from around the world to its top ranked environmental law program. For more information on applying for the Master of Laws program, please contact Lucy Brehm at lbrehm@lclark.edu.
