NCVLI has joined a coalition of 186 national and state organizations asking the US Department of Justice to issue guidance on gender-biased policing of sexual assault and domestic violence cases. Providing guidance to law enforcement on constitutional and effective policing of domestic violence and sexual assault is a critical step in reforming and improving our criminal justice system and protecting the rights of victims.
