This fall, Lewis & Clark opened its new Career Center with a new leader at the helm.

The 1,500-square-foot Career Center, which was constructed over the summer, is located outside the Trail Room and Bookstore on the north end of Templeton Campus Center. In addition to offering a great central location with bright fresh office space, the Career Center includes a roof deck and eco-roof.

Since July 1, the center has been under the leadership of new director Rocky Campbell BA ’00. Rocky is familiar to many on campus through his outstanding service to Lewis & Clark as a volunteer and former member of the Board of Alumni. He returns to campus with extensive experience in private enterprise and strategic management, and he brings a network of business colleagues from around the world. “We are excited to welcome Rocky on board the Career Center as our new director,” said Trustee Heidi Hu BS ’85 at the time of his hiring.”Rocky is deeply familiar with academic settings and has an easy rapport with both corporate executives and college students. We know his experience and skills will serve him well in his new role and look forward to working with him.” The Career Center helps students discover their goals and interests, connect to opportunities in the community that enrich their academic experience, and prepare for successful lives beyond Lewis & Clark. These services include workshops, visits to employers, networking events, and individual counseling. The Career Center will draw on these strengths and will expand its activities to include partnering with the college’s independent Center for Entrepreneurship on cocurricular initiatives.
