The Beetles of Lewis & Clark

The Beetles of Lewis & Clark, an exhibit in the Watzek Library atrium curated by Chaya Arabia ’15.

The Beetles of Lewis & Clark, an exhibit curated by Chaya Arabia ’15.  The exhibit in the Watzek Library atrium features beetles collected by Chaya on the Lewis & Clark Campus during the Spring Term 2015 and many other beetles from the Lewis & Clark College Natural History Collection.

The Beetles of Lewis & Clark highlights three families of beetles present on campus: the weevils, featherwing beetles, and click beetles.  By examining distinct physical traits of each family in the context of how they interact with the physical environment and other organisms, we can begin to understand the remarkably diverse lives of the beetles around us.  This exhibit will remain up through April 28th.
