Teaching French on the Cutting Edge

BELC fellowship awarded to Natalie Stamper.

Natalie Stamper, Instructor of French and Language in Motion Coordinator, has been awarded the prestigious BELC fellowship for teachers of French. A program of the French Embassy, this unique fellowship opportunity will bring together teachers of French as a foreign language at the Université de Nantes for one month this summer, where they will engage in special pedagogical coursework. Participants will then return to their home countries and—for four years—have the opportunity to present workshops in the latest methodologies of second-language acquisition and teaching, courtesy of the French Embassy. Ms. Stamper will present these pedagogy workshops to teachers of French at a variety of levels through webinars, conferences and onsite presentations, and already has plans to share these tools with colleagues at Lewis & Clark.
