On April 15, Lewis & Clark hosted the Festival of Scholars, an event designed to showcase student research, performance, and art from across the curriculum.

More than 100 undergraduates presented to their peers and professors, as well as to prospective students, alumni, and community members. The day included poster presentations; panel talks on science, economics, philosophy, and gender; music recitals; a physics-in-action workshop; and a reading of James Joyce’s Ulysses. As part of the event, the Department of Rhetoric and Media Studies hosted their second Lambda Pi Eta Film Festival, giving student filmmakers the opportunity to present their work to the Lewis & Clark community. The festival is sponsored by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

This year, festival organizers also worked with the Campus Activities Board to organize the Carnival of Scholars, an after-party featuring games, rides, and free food.
