Jeffrey Rhoades ’10 appointed as Oregon’s first marijuana policy advisor

Oregon Governor Kate Brown has named Lewis & Clark Law School alumnus Jeffrey Rhoades as senior adviser on marijuana policy. The position is a newly created post in which Rhoades will be tasked with advising Governor Brown on all issues related to cannabis.

A veteran district attorney with Multnomah County working in the drug unit, Rhoades serves as legislative liaison under Deputy DA Rod Underhill during the legislative session. As similar position was created by Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper in 2014.

Rhoades has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Trinity College and received his JD from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2010
