Faculty in Focus

Meet four of our dynamic professors.

Lewis & Clark professors are exceptional teachers and mentors, as well as noted researchers and innovators in their fields. Small class sizes and close interaction between faculty and students create opportunities for discussion and collaboration, both in and outside the classroom. Get to know four of our faculty members in the videos below. Then, schedule a campus visit to sit in on a class.

Ellen Seljan

Assistant Professor of Political Science

Ellen talks about intellectual curiosity, internships in public service, and her love of mentoring students.

Erik Nilsen

Associate Professor of Psychology

Erik discusses his research looking at how technology can motivate healthy behaviors in adults and investigating cognitive development and creativity in preschoolers.

Michael Olich

Associate Professor of Theatre

Michael outlines the variety of stage work at Lewis & Clark, his work as the resident designer for the theatre department, and the importance of storytelling.

Tamily Weissman-Unni
