Community Corner Brown Bag Series

The CARE Committee is pleased to announce its newest venue for meeting your colleagues and learning about what’s happening across campus: Community Corner!

It’s a monthly brown bag discussion held on the second Tuesday of every month from noon to 1p.m. at a reserved table in the Trail Room near the stage area.

Community Corner offers a common space for people to get face time with community members from various offices/departments.

Feel free to eat your lunch and enjoy some conversation with the following groups:

Tips and Tools for Communicating With the L&C Community: Join Director of Multimedia and Internal Communications Vanessa Holmgren to explore information sharing tools to enhance engagement with your events, new stories, and communications across our three schools.

Tuesday, October 11

HR Benefits: Review annual benefits events and where to find benefit information with Benefits Analyst Helen DeVol.

Earthquake Preparedness: Participation in the Great Oregon Shakeout and general earthquake preparedness with Emergency Response Coordinator Jason Holmgren.

Tuesday, November 8

Community and Recreation for Employees (CARE): Join Director of Multimedia and Internal Communications Vanessa Holmgren and Assistant Director of Law School Admissions Natasha Richmond to learn about upcoming events and let us know what kinds of community building activities you’d like to see our committee sponsor.

Marketing and Branding at L&C: How Higher Ed Is Different From Selling Widgets—Director of Marketing Stacey Kim will talk about how marketing isn’t a synonym for lies, and how you can help to promote the L&C brand and spirit.

Depending on the popularity of the Community Corner series, the CARE Committee will also begin to schedule brown bag discussions every other month at the graduate and law schools.
