Matthew manages all of the networks on campus, both wired and wireless.  He has worked in IT since 2005, working before that in the ILC in the Foreign Languages Department.  He graduated from Macalester College with a BA in Computer Science, and minors in Studio Art and Japanese.  He is an IEEE Member and is the Resident 133t hax0r in IT.  He came to Lewis & Clark because, having attended a liberal arts college, he knew it was an enviroment he would enjoy working in.  Students and faculty are great motivators for doing his job well, knowing that their experience with technology should support their needs, learning and teaching.  He lives happily with his wife Jennifer and his two daughters Olivia and Hazel.  They have a big chocolate lab, Toby, and a very spry cat, Hairy.  His interests outside of his professional work include art, music, parenting, reading, drawing, painting, video games, and biking.  He’s an easy going guy who enjoys the simple things in life.  He tries to treat others with respect and without prejudice.
