SW Terwilliger Blvd Overpass Closed to Vehicles and Pedestrians: Oct. 13-16
October 10, 2017
ODOT is repairing bridge joints on the SW Terwilliger Boulevard overpass over Interstate 5 and OR 99W, also known as Barbur Boulevard. Work will take place from 8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 13 until 5 a.m. Monday, October 16.
The overpass will be closed to vehicles while repairs take place. Traffic in both directions will need to use an alternate route.
The closure effects all people using the bridge including those walking and biking Friday night. Starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, people walking and biking may use the sidewalks of the Terwilliger overpass as crews continue work.
The Pioneer Express shuttle will change routes beginning 8:00 pm Friday through the end of service on Sunday. During the road closure the shuttle will use the Macadam route to and from campus and will NOT service any stops on Barbur Blvd or stop at Fred Meyer throughout the weekend. Any shopping at Fred Meyer should happen well before 8 pm on Friday the 13th.
