Cara Tomlinson’s recent paintings are highlighted in “Liberal” an exhibit at the Kittredge Gallery on the University of Puget Sound campus that surveys the work of the Northwest Five consortium’s painting professors: Lewis and Clark, Reed, Whitman, Willamette, and the University of Puget Sound.

 This show is in conjunction with the inaugural NW5 Painting Colloquium, titled “Phenomenal” taking place on Nov. 3-4 that Elise Richman at the University of Puget Sound and Tomlinson co-organized. The NW5 Painting Colloquium will feature a schedule of discussions by the artists presented in the show and invited panelists. The keynote address will be delivered by Linda Besemer, James Irvine, Distinguished Professor, Art and Art History, Occidental College. Painting students from Lewis & Clark and University of Puget Sound will present a joint exhibit of their work at the colloquium.
