Bridge Removal Scheduled Through August 2018

The Templeton and Howard Bridges over the ravine are currently undergoing deconstruction.
The Templeton and Howard Bridges over the ravine are currently undergoing deconstruction. During a routine maintenance inspection last summer, it was discovered that the main bridge supports were no longer structurally sound and were unsafe for pedestrian traffic. The two bridges were subsequently closed.

While the Howard Bridge will be rebuilt, the Templeton Bridge will be permanently deconstructed. The ADA pathway that it once provided has been replaced by another ADA pathway next to Templeton.

The deconstruction of the Templeton Bridge has started with the removal of the utilities from under the bridge. Major removal is scheduled to begin mid-July and should be completed by August 2018. The cement footings will remain in place.

We thank you for your patience.
