Biochemistry alum illustrates graphic novel depicting Darwin’s Origin of Species
Nicole Rager Fuller BA ’99 merges her study of science with her love of art, illustrating an adaptation of Darwin’s “Origin of Species.”

Nicolle Rager Fuller ’99, a professional illustrator, recently published Charles Darwin’s On the Origin of Species: A Graphic Adaptation, with writer Mike Keller.
The book received praise because it “introduces a new generation of readers to a stunning graphic adaptation of one of the most famous, contested, and important books of all time.”
Based in Washington, D.C, Fuller has done illustration work for the National Science Foundation and The Discovery Channel. She has a bachelor of arts degree in biochemistry from Lewis & Clark and a graduate certificate in science illustration from the University of California-Santa Cruz.
