1 Hour LCJobs Training - Wednesday, June 9

Training sessions for the upgraded version of PeopleAdmin, newly-named LCJobs, have been scheduled for the second week of June. The sessions will be Wednesday, June 9, at Smith Hall in Albany Quadrangle. They will each last one hour. Anyone who anticipates having to hire over the next six months or so is welcome to attend and will only need to come to one 1-hour session.

The first session of the day, at 8:30 a.m., will be reserved for those who directly support our executive officers. The second and third sessions will be at 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. These two sessions will be aimed at support staff who are or will be recruiting for staff positions. The afternoon sessions will be primarily for those who recruit for student help, since student employment will migrate to the online system over the summer. Those training sessions will be at 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. If you can’t make it to one of the trainings specifically set up for you, come to another session that day, as the functionality is consistent for all classifications of jobs. We have only divided the audience by the types of user questions likely to come up during the question and answer times at the end. All you need to bring is a paper and pen for any notes you want to take.

Additionally, if you have a posting in the system, you need to know and plan for the outage that will happen during the actual conversion from our legacy version to the new one. The current system will go off line completely, so that even HR does not have access to it, at around 3 p.m. on Wed., June 16th, and will reappear live on Friday, June 18. During that time, applicants for open positions will find an announcement telling them the pages are under construction and when they will be available. PeopleAdmin will place an announcement on the applicants’ side to warn them of the coming time off-line, when they will  not be able to access any areas on the site.
