Ways to Give
If you would like to make a year-end gift to Lewis & Clark in a loved one’s name, following are assets you can use to fulfill your intentions. (You can also receive tax benefits from your gift if you itemize.)
- Securities that are worth more than you originally paid for them
- A life insurance policy you no longer need
- Real estate you do not want to manage any longer
- Tangible personal property

To be eligible for a charitable tax deduction in 2010, you must accomplish the following by Dec. 31:
Cash— Mail your check.
Stock— Complete the entire transfer of securities to us electronically.
Life insurance— Name us as owner and beneficiary of the insurance policy.
Real estate— Deliver the executed deed.
Tangible personal property— Deliver the donated property.
