Planned Lawsuit over Water Quality Criteria for Toxics

A recent Inside EPA article focused on PEAC’s potential lawsuit on behalf of its client Northwest Environmental Advocates (NWEA). At issue is the Environmental Protection Agency’s alleged failure to properly review Oregon’s proposed revisions to water quality criteria for toxic pollutants. PEAC and NWEA cite violations of a number of federal statutes and could force the agency to speed up its reviews of state water quality criteria nationally.
