Rogers Hall

Originally from Chicago, Heather moved to Oregon in 1996 to not only escape the weather patterns in Chicago, but to begin her educational journey.  Since 1996 she has been on a career path that focuses on working towards advocacy for all students. She settled on the career of a counselor because she wanted to be actively involved in the academic, personal/social, and career success of all students.

Heather worked as a middle school counselor in the West-Linn Wilsonville School District for 6 years, where she implemented the ASCA National Model. While working as a professional school counselor she felt a calling to be more directly involved in the preparatory programs for school counselors. This calling and her passion for school counseling led to her pursuit of a PhD in counselor education and supervision from Oregon State University. In addition to experience working in the schools, Heather is a Nationally Certified Counselor and previously provided counseling in a small private practice to children, adolescents, and adults. She is a member of the Western Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, the American School Counseling Association, and the Oregon School Counseling Association.
