Advice to students: Mind what you have learned, help you it can.
Gabe is from Susanville, CA. He attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. He enjoys playing golf and San Pancho, Mexico, is his favorite vacation spot. Gabe’s favorite plant is the talking tree from the Lord of the Rings trilogy because “he could walk, talk and throw things. It would be fun to have him on campus”. Gabe came to work at Lewis & Clark for the opportunity to work with very intelligent students, faculty and staff. “It’s really inspiring to be around new ideas and creative solutions,” says Gabe. When asked about the strangest thing he has seen on campus Gabe responds, “Watching that intelligence go right into the side of the mountain. Please see: Naked Mile, bonfires in the ravine, naked photo shoots, couches lit on fire at the end of the school year, or anything else that involves students and fire and nudity.”
Last week when I got a flat tire at work, Gabe helped me out and insisted that he could fill my tire for me. He emailed me later that afternoon and said that he had filled my tire with air, but the tire had a leak in it. He was worried that it wouldn’t be safe for me to drive to the repair shop after work and said he would come by at the end of his shift and refill my tire so I would be good to go! His thoughtfulness really made an impression! I’m sure you know what a great employee you have, he really goes above and beyond.
