Elizabeth Winzeler BA ’84, a microbiologist, professor, and researcher at the University of California at San Diego, was inducted into the National Academy of Medicine in October 2021. Winzeler is the author of more than 200 scientific papers and has made significant contributions to the field of antimalarial drugs. She holds a doctorate in developmental biology from Stanford University.
