Paul Jorgensen BA ’85 currently lives in Bangkok, Thailand, where his wife, Setareh Sanjar, is serving for three years at the world’s third-largest U.S. embassy. He has maintained his intellectual property and contract law practice and telecommutes back to Washington, D.C., from a time zone 12 hours ahead. A history and culture buff, Jorgensen frequently leads neighborhood tours for embassy staff and families. According to Jorgensen, “Bangkok never sleeps and has some truly smarmy streets aimed at tourists. But the real Bangkok is more subtle: ancient active markets, glorious wats (temples), great clumps of 7-11s, useful khlongs (canals), monitor lizards, stunning malls, spirit houses, and naturally wonderful and fun-loving Thais.”
