Koeby Johnson BA ’97 still teaches seventh-grade social studies and has been leading summer education tours to Italy and Greece the past few years. His wife, Jenny Johnson BA ’97, teaches preschool in their home, with their youngest in attendance. They also have two kids in grade school, one in middle school, one in high school, and one who just joined the Marines. Life is very full. Koeby plays in Rutendo, a marimba band, and Jenny dances hula. The couple travels when they can and celebrated their 21st anniversary in Mexico last summer. Over the summer, they enjoyed a visit from Laura Tharsen BA ’97 and Jeff Tharsen BA ’96 and their kids, and Jenny visited Shanna Christie BA ’97 and her new baby in Seattle.

Koeby Johnson BA ’97 and Jenny Simpson Johnson BA ’97 celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary last summer. They live in Ashland, Oregon, where Jenny teaches preschool. Koeby teaches seventh-grade social studies in nearby Medford. They are raising five sons and a daughter; the oldest graduates from high school this year, and the youngest is 3 years old. Jenny and Koeby have a busy, musical life together and love exploring the world, a passion that was fueled by their overseas study program to India while students at Lewis & Clark.
