What three words would you use to describe L&C?
Unforgettable, immersive, beautiful
What was your favorite class (title and professor)? How did it expand your knowledge?
My favorite class was Argument and Persuasion in Science, taught by Associate Professor Mitch Reyes. I had the opportunity to do research on biologically inspired military robots and the various ways the general public acquiesces to this information.
What made you want to come to Lewis & Clark?
I did an overnight visit with some of the members on the baseball team and I instantly felt like I wanted to be a part of their unique community.
Baseball was a big part of your life at Lewis & Clark. What’s it like to be an athlete at L&C?
Being an athlete at L&C means that you get to be part of this bigger family on campus. Regardless of what team you play on, all the student-athletes support one another.
What are your plans after graduation?
I am moving to San Diego where I will be working for the Padres’ professional baseball organization as a representative for the inside sales team!
What’s your favorite spot on campus?
Definitely the lawns of the estate gardens. I spent many sunny afternoons there playing wiffle ball under the flagpole.
How do you manage stress?
Pamplin Sports Center has an amazing weight room and training facility. It was a luxury being able to get in great workouts between classes.
What advice do you have for prospective students?
The single most rewarding thing I did in college was study abroad in East Africa. If you get the opportunity to travel—take it! You would be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t!
