  • Image preview All Day: Employee Fitness: Swingercise
    Swingercise is taught by Melissa Roane, of the Library staff, on Fridays at 12-12:45 in the Pamplin Activity (Mat) Room 019.  Come for this variety work-out as swing dance meets fitness! It is presented by taking steps and notions from the Charleston era to the Jitterbug era and working them till everyone sweats!  It is mostly cardio-dance, and she will also infuse mini-history lessons and some technique in vernacular jazz.

    Cardio Tennis is taught by Jimmy Chau, Tennis Coach, on Mondays & Wednesdays at 12-12:45 pm in the Indoor Tennis Dome, or on the outdoor courts, weather permitting.   Improve your tennis game in a group lesson format with fun conditioning skills and drills that will keep you moving!

    X-Training is taught by Suzanne Brauer, PE/A Instructor, on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 12-12:45 pm in the Pamplin Center Activity (Mat) Room, or outside weather permitting.  Do it all with a variety of equipment…cardio, strength, core, and stretch…it’s a total body work-out.

    Lewis & Clark Kids and Families received $12,500 from the President’s Strategic Initiative Fund (SIF) to study the feasibility of developing and operating a high-quality on-site child development center to serve children of faculty, staff, and students.
