Alumna featured for her work to improve graduation rates

Alumna and teacher Serena Talcott BA ‘98, MAT ‘00 was featured in the Portland Tribune for her work helping freshmen transition into high school.
A freshman biology teacher at Cleveland High School, Talcott meets with her students regularly to discuss their progress as part of Cleveland’s unique freshman academy. The academy focuses on helping students during the often difficult transition into high school.
