Visit Campus
Take a Campus Tour
Visiting Lewis & Clark is the best way to get to know us. Our three campuses—undergraduate, graduate, and law—are nestled in a forest just six miles from downtown Portland, and we have a free shuttle that will take you there.
Our undergraduate campus spans a ravine and is surrounded by trees, giving you ample space to explore and connect with nature.
Our law school is located next door to Tryon Creek State Park, which is where you’ll find members of our community hiking the 13 miles of stunning nature trails.
And our graduate school has an expansive green lawn that serves as a backyard, commonly listed as our students’ favorite place on campus. It’s also where our bee garden is housed!

I grew up for part of my childhood in southern India, and Lewis & Clark reminds me so much of that environment—always green, rainy, and so beautiful in the spring. It felt like coming home.

Brenna Ketchum BA ’23
Fort Collins, Colorado

-

To me, Lewis & Clark offered the perfect blend of a community that is small enough to really feel supported while also having all the benefits of a metropolitan area. After I visited and saw the beautiful campus, its access to nature, and welcoming atmosphere first hand, I knew I could feel at home here.

Emily Larabee BA ’25
Anchorage, Alaska

-

I visited the spring I got accepted and immediately fell in love with campus. The greenery, the short walk to a state park, combined with how the community greeted me, I quickly felt that I belonged here.

John Mbanda BA ’25
Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Rwanda

-

I visited Lewis & Clark and knew that it had everything I wanted. I wanted to be at a small, liberal arts college in a Pacific Northwest city. -

My visit to campus was a big part of the decision to attend L&C. It is so pretty, and you can feel how much the community thrives here. Explore Portland
Lewis & Clark is located in the lush hills of South Portland, the city’s “sixth quadrant.” But our beautiful campuses aren’t the entire story—our location offers something that most other schools do not: an ideal setting in a vibrant, progressive city with endless networking, entertainment, and cultural resources.

When not focusing on my studies—I was running around Portland going to concerts, spending all my extra cash at Powell’s, and going to my wonderful friends’ art shows, performances, etc.
- Cadyn Schenk-Turner BA ’26
I love music and so I love the amount of concerts and shows there are on the weekends. I also really love how many food trucks there are everywhere in the city. It’s a great way to get a bite to eat without spending too much money.

My favorite thing about living in Portland are all of the great neighborhoods! I can always find a cute coffee shop, thrift store, or bookstore to spend my afternoons when I’m free from class. There are so many food carts to get a great meal from, and there are great concert venues in the city as well.
