Visiting Lewis & Clark is the best way to get to know us. Our three campuses—undergraduate, graduate, and law—are nestled in a forest just six miles from downtown Portland, and we have a free shuttle that will take you there.
Our undergraduate campus spans a ravine and is surrounded by trees, giving you ample space to explore and connect with nature.
Our law school is located next door to Tryon Creek State Park, which is where you’ll find members of our community hiking the 13 miles of stunning nature trails.
And our graduate school has an expansive green lawn that serves as a backyard, commonly listed as our students’ favorite place on campus. It’s also where our bee garden is housed!

Cheer on Your Peers
Almost 20 percent of our undergraduates compete on our 21 varsity sports teams. Attending games to cheer on your peers is a great way to spend time with friends, build community, and show your school spirit. Full athletics schedule.

Portland is nationally renowned for its food scene, which includes options for almost every food preference and dietary need. We were even given the title of best pizza in the country from Modernist Pizza!

Things to Do
It’s impossible to provide an exhaustive list of things to do and see in a city as vibrant and diverse as Portland. We can promise you this, though: you won’t lack for great opportunities to have fun.

I also really love the proximity to outdoor activities, particularly with Mount Hood being under an hour’s drive away! It offers beautiful hiking trails and skiing year round.
Uwella Rubuga BA ’19More about UwellaI loved that our campus was far away from downtown Portland, but also accessible by bus or car in 30 minutes or less. We could also bike too, which was awesome with all the serene amazing views!
Mithila Tambe BA ’25More about MithilaI love the duality in energy and atmosphere that Portland’s music scene offers. I really like being able to go from the floor-shaking concerts in big venues to neighborhood jazz performers in hole-in-the-wall restaurants.
