Pledge Booking Statement

Below you will find a standard pledge agreement to present to your donor for his/her signature establishing their commitment to Lewis & Clark. If you feel it more appropriate to craft your own pledge agreement, it is imperative that the pledge agreement be: unconditional, irrevocable and legally enforceable. Pledges from individuals cannot be fulfilled by Donor Advised Funds, family foundations and/or matching gifts. Please refer to our standard pledge agreement for guidelines.

In addition, please consult the Director of Advancement Services with questions about crafting these agreements /before/ submitting to the donor to avoid potential misunderstandings with the donor. Pledge agreements for new programs not already approved by the Board of Trustees must be approved by the Vice President for Institutional Advancement /before/ being presented to the donor. All pledge agreements must be reviewed by the Director of Advancement Services before entry into Raiser's Edge. Please attach copies of any and all relevant documentation with the pledge agreement.
