Central Landscaping

Completed September 2000

This project will remove almost all automobile parking from the central part of the historic estate grounds and construct new pedestrian walks and landscaped plazas. The project will reinforce the important pedestrian connections that already exist between the residential sector of campus and the academic/athletic areas of campus to the north. Some existing walks and routes will be re-aligned to allow for ADA accessible walkways. New walks will be constructed around the Manor House and the existing entry drive will be reconstructed as a ceremonial VIP entrance.

Construction is expected to occur over the course of two summers beginning in 2000 and completing in 2001.
