Timeline

Ideas:
· Fair Trade Area
· Open 2nd floor Templeton space –
· knock out walls / gathering space ringed with student Organizations
· Close Trail room – change 3rd floor to all food activities
· Lounge space for students
· Need for common space
· Music Rehearsal space – partially sound proof
· Accessible student meeting area with sense of community and fewer walls
· Decorporatization: ie. Fair trade, book co-op, etc.
· Make Templeton more appealing later, have more events happen here
· Include student grps. In decisions regarding their space
· Keep food service open later and make it more appealing (more options, etc)
· Use council chambers as a music venue during week at lunch, in evenings, on weekends
· Relocate Student Financial services to lower level of TSC across from cashier’s office when Student Dev. Center moves to Albany Quad in Jan 2005
· Relocate Campus events office, Student act. Office, SOFA and other student programming grps to existing space vacated by student financial services in Jan 2005
· Utilize existing Campus events off. On TSC main floor for student grps.
· Create atrium @ center of building by enclosing open space @ center of building.
· Community Fair Trade Co-op
· Creating an open space in the middle
· Move Trail room upstairs
· Less corporate
· Create a platform for expression
· Fostering community – warm, not hard to navigate
· Student Coordinated bookswap (literature, poetry, bulletin board)
· Sustainable Building Practices
· Plenty of room – devoted to students
· retrocommission Templeton to LEED standards
· single dining room for everyone
· internet bar rather than computer labs
