After the immediate response phase has been completed after an emergency, Lewis & Clark will shift its efforts to restoration. Restoration includes the complementary processes of continuity and recovery. Continuity focuses on resuming critical operations while in a compromised state. Recovery is focused on the long-term process of returning the College to its original or an improved condition. Continuity activities focus on immediate, short-term resumption of activities, and typically last up to a week. Recovery efforts, depending on the extent and severity of damage, can take weeks to years.
