Purpose

To ensure the proper handling, storage, and use of hazardous waste containers within the Physical Plant Services department.

Policy Statement:

Physical Plant Services personnel will not remove, modify, relocate, or add materials to the hazardous waste containers at Physical Plant Services, Building 47 without the express permission of the Occupational Health & Safety Officer.

Procedures:

Only the following personnel are allowed to handle, move, and add materials to the Physical Plant Services hazardous waste containers without first notifying the Occupational Health & Safety Officer:

  1. Plant electrician
  2. Painters
  3. Auto mechanic
  4. Director of Facilities
