Karen Fobert

Associate Director

As a native Oregonian, Karen completed her Business Administration degree at Oregon State University. After working as an accounting supervisor, she took a child producing sabbatical for 8 years and then found her true calling – administering financial aid. As the resident technology guru, Karen enjoys unraveling the mysterious calculations of the FAFSA and financial aid for both parents and students.

In her free time, Karen enjoys following her children’s many activities. On the weekends and many evenings, you can find her cheering on her daughter, Shelby, at cross country meets or enjoying the Boy Scout activities of her son, Camden. She also likes to geocache with her husband (a GSEC alum) and taking long walks on the beautiful Oregon beaches.
