Pioneer Medical - Regence BlueCross/BlueShield (PPO)

The Pioneer Medical plan administered by Regence BlueCross Blue Shield provides more flexibility and freedom than a traditional Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plan. This plan does have a network of providers but no primary care physician is required. You are allowed to self-refer to any preferred provider (even a specialist) and remain in-network. Out-of-network care is covered but will cost more.

Summary Annual Report

The Summary Annual Report is being furnished to you electronically and summarizes the key financial operation of the Pioneer Educators Health Trust (PEHT).  The Trust provides health insurance to employees at seven different colleges and universities.  The Trust self-insures for the first $125,000 of all claims and purchases coverage for any claims in excess of that amount.
