Smoking Cessation Support

For benefit-eligible employees, there are a number of free resources in our benefit plans to support smoking cessation plans:

  • All benefit eligible employees:
  • For employees subscribed with Kaiser Permanente (KP), Kaiser has a variety of tobacco cessation programs and resources.
    • Quit Smoking topic center - members and non-members can access a number of tools and resources that can help them successfully quit tobacco. In addition, the topic center includes a regional database of classes and other KP resources.
    • Wellness coaching by phone - Kaiser members get the added level of motivation they need to help them break the tobacco habit with the Wellness Coaching by Phone. To register for phone counseling, call 503-286-6816 or 1-866-301-3866 (toll free) and select option 2.
  • Regence recommends that members access support, including coverage for both treatment and tobacco cessation medications, by contacting their in-network primary care physician.

Any community member who is interested in quitting smoking can receive help through Smoke-Free Oregon. The Smoke-Free Oregon webpage provides an overview of their resources, including quitting guides, quitting aids (such as nicotine replacement), quitting coaches and web-coaching.
