Work-Study earnings must be monitored closely by students and supervisors.
Students are awarded Work-Study through the financial aid process. The specific amount of the award is included on students' award letters and on Employment Request Authorization Forms. All WS award amounts must be strictly observed. Students can track WS earnings by adding their gross income from each pay period. If a student has multiple jobs, it will be necessary to keep track of the gross wages for the jobs paying WS funds.
Student Financial Services monitors individual students' earnings from WS funds. Supervisors/departments will be notified in a timely manner if students have used their entire WS awards, or have minimal funds remaining. When WS awards have been fully earned, notification requiring students to stop working immediately is sent to supervisors.
