Lewis & Clark College has a distinctive international character and takes pride in its commitment to international students. Today, approximately 200 international students from six continents and more than 70 countries study on campus.

Financial Aid for International Students
During the most recent application cycle, Lewis & Clark awarded well over a million dollars in financial aid to international students, 60 percent of whom received financial aid. Go to our financial aid site to learn more about need-based financial aid and merit scholarships.

Davis United World College Scholars
Lewis & Clark participates in the Davis United World College Scholars program. Graduates of UWC campuses around the world may receive a renewable scholarship from the Shelby Davis family and a grants from Lewis & Clark that meet a students full calculated need.  If you are a graduate of UWC, you may be eligible.

Overseas & Off-campus Programs
An integral part of the experience at Lewis & Clark, our programs immerse you in foreign cultures and offer an academic experience you just can’t get on campus. International students are eligible for all programs.

When admission is granted, Lewis & Clark will send a letter of acceptance and related admissions information.  Once a student accepts the offer of admission, ISS will send an I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility) form (or a DS-2019 for J-1 exchange students and scholars) to the student. The student should: (1) consult our visa preparation website; (2) pay the $350 SEVIS fee; (3) make an appointment with the nearest US Consulate; (4) take the admission letter, the I-20 (or DS-2019 for J-1 students), a valid passport, and proof of financial support to the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to apply for an F-1 (student) visa (or J-1 visa for exchange students).
