I was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. My mother was born in the US, but her mother is from the Czech Republic and her father from Austria. My father is from Venezuela, but was raised by a Cuban father. The mixture of all these cultures has played a key role in my life, shaping my views and behavior.

Besides the enriching liberal arts education I receive at Lewis and Clark, I truly love its location. The campus is surrounded by beautiful nature, which creates a very serene atmosphere. It is also conveniently located only 20 min from downtown Portland. It is really the best of both worlds. Whenever I have time I really enjoy going downtown and trying new restaurants, there are so many and they are all so good!!!

One of my favorite things about L&C is the opportunity to build relationships with the professors. Not only are they the perfect resource to build your career, but they also enjoy just grabbing a coffee and having a chat about life.

I am a member of both the TCK (Third Culture Kids) and the ISLC (International Students of Lewis and Clark) board, in which we are constantly organizing fun and engaging activities. There is always so much going on here at L&C that you only wish you had more time to be involved in everything!! It is amazing because there is always something fun to do!
