Jodi Heintz

Jodi started working for the Office of Public Affairs and Communications in April 2007. She has been building and executing strategic communication initiatives in the social purpose sector for more than 10 years. Most recently, she served as a director at Metropolitan Group in Portland, where she worked with organizations to develop effective public relations strategies to raise awareness and strengthen relationships with members, donors, and important external constituencies such as the media, professional associations, and community leaders. While at this agency she worked with Lewis & Clark on their strategic communication planning and jumped ship for the greener pastures of this great college.

Before moving to Portland, Jodi worked in New York City on domestic and international gender equity and poverty issues. She also worked at a nonpartisan think tank at Rutgers University on public education strategies to encourage women to run for political office.

In her spare time she enjoys volunteer work with the City Club of Portland and the Oregon Environmental Council, hiking and snowshoeing in the Cascades, and sampling the plethora of beers this great city has to offer!
