Public Affairs and Communications

Robb Shecter

Robb began working with the Office of Public Affairs and Communications in July 2006.

"I came to Portland for most of the reasons that it’s unique: good public transportation, a progressive spirit, and a focus on sustainability and new solutions to old problems. My background and degree are in computer science, and I like to approach tasks with a mix of theoretical and practical approaches. I’m responsible for Web application development and software engineering processes. I’m particularly interested in programming languages and software design. Conceptualizing issues and then implementing solutions to them is a big part of the new media team's work."
