Accepting your Federal Perkins  Loan

Please follow the steps outlined below to secure any Federal Perkins Loan funding you have been awarded. Please note that all steps must be completed before funds can be applied to your student account. We will process the full amount awarded unless we receive a written request for less.

•STEP 1 - Accept your Federal Perkins Loan

Follow the link below to accept your loan on the the Federal Perkins Loan Acceptance webpage. If you intend to borrow less than the full amount offered, please note how much you want to borrow in the comment box.

•STEP 2 - Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling

Upon receipt of your loan acceptance, Lewis & Clark will establish a loan account for you at University Accounting Services (UAS), the company hired by the College to service Federal Perkins loans.

UAS will contact you by e-mail when your Federal Perkins Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) is ready to complete. The e-mail will instruct you to go to the UAS web site, signmyloan.com. At this site, you will go through an on-line entrance counseling session on the Federal Perkins Loan as well complete a Master Promissory Note.

Note: Perkins loan funds will not be applied to your student account until these steps are completed.
