We are received into this world in blankets, and we often depart in them. Portland artist and recent Eiteljorg fellowship recipient, Marie Watt, explores the undeniable metaphoric richness of “blanket” in her pieced quilts, sculpture, prints, and installations. This exhibition comes to Portland immediately after its showing at the Museum of the American Indian in New York City.
