Join Camerata Vocalis, a 30-member mixed chorus from Germany's University of Tübingen, under the direction of Tobias Hiller, and Lewis & Clark College's Cappella Nova, under the direction of Dr. Gilbert Seeley, for a concert featuring a program of mostly German composers including Brahms, Mendelssohn, Schütz and Schein.

Camerata Vocalis will also perform a piece by American composer Eric Whitacre and one by French composer Claude Debussy, as well as an original work by Tomas Hiller.

In addition to the Portland concerts, Camerata Vocalis is performing in Eugene, Corvallis, Seattle, and at the Northwest Division Conference of the American Choral Directors Association in Vancouver, British Columbia, as part of this tour.

"It is a special treat to have Tobias Hiller and Camerata Vocallis in performance here," says Dr. Steven Zielke, Oregon State University's director of choral studies. "Hiller has led his singers in impressive concerts around the world and now brings their artistic and sensitive singing to the Northwest," Zielke said.

The concert is sponsored by the Lewis & Clark Department of Music. Admission is free.
