Constitution Day 2008
Each year, Lewis & Clark observes Constitution Day in celebration of the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. In past years, we've featured lively panels and debates with political scientists, professors of Constitutional Law, and journalists.
This year, we join the Law School in welcoming the Federal Judicial Center to Pamplin Sports Center on September 18-19 for their 40th Anniversary conference, with keynotes by retired Justice Sandra Day O’Connor and Justice Anthony Kennedy. This landmark conference will feature an unparalleled array of jurists and scholars.
Members of the Lewis & Clark community may view the conference via simulcast in Templeton Campus Center, Council Chamber. The keynote addresses are as follows:
Thursday, September 18, 1:30 p.m.
Retired Justice Sandra Day O'Connor
Friday, September 19, 8:30 a.m.
Justice Anthony Kennedy
The simulcasts run throughout the day in Templeton Campus Center, Council Chamber, and are open only to the Lewis & Clark community.
