Lewis & Clark Law School is pleased to host George L. Priest as its twentieth Higgins Distinguished Visitor. Priest will visit the Law School from February 10 to 21, 2003, to interact with students, faculty, and members of the bench and bar in a variety of settings.
George L. Priest is the John M. Olin Professor of Law and Economics at Yale Law School. At Yale, he also serves as the codirector of the Center for Studies in Law, Economics, and Public Policy and the director of the Program in Civil Liability. Priest teaches courses on capitalism, insurance policy, products liability, antitrust, torts, regulated industries and, most recently, economic development. He graduated from Yale College in 1969 and earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 1973.
Priest is the author of a wide number of articles and monographs on products liability, tort law, insurance, litigation and settlement, privatization, and deregulation.
