A celebrated and reviled peacemaker, Shimon Peres is the recipent of the 1994 Nobel Peace Prize, has served twice as Israel’s Prime Minister and as Foreign Minister under Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. He is recognized as one of the key architects of the Oslo Peace Accords. Peres remains a leading figure in the Labor Party opposition of the Israeli Parliament.

A long-time figure in Palestinian politics, Nabeel Shaath has been one of Yasser Arafat’s closest advisors and has played a key role in the negotiations process. Dr. Shaath is responsible for developing foreign relations and international cooperation, and leading development initiatives for the Palestinian National Authority.
