While Lewis & Clark has been proud to host Portland Baroque Orchestra in prior years, there are no performances of Handel's Messiah at Lewis & Clark in December 2007. Please go to http://www.pbo.org for a full list of Messiah performances this December.
Handel’s Messiah and More
Portland Baroque Orchestra
This holiday season, you can choose one or both: an intimate, dramatic performance of Handel’s masterpiece oratorio, a Portland tradition for over twenty years, or a Baroque holiday sampling of Messiah highlights, plus Vivaldi’s stunning Gloria, and Corelli’s beloved Christmas Concerto. Matthew Halls, keyboardist of Monica Huggett’s Ensemble Sonnerie and director of concert and opera, leads the full forces of PBO’s Orchestra and Chorus joined by world-class soloists for two programs of joyous music. Making their PBO debuts are renowned Canadian soprano Meredith Hall, Portland’s own rising opera star Angela Niederloh, and rich-voiced baritone Charles Robert Stephens.
