20th Anniversary Forum
ASLC Student Academic Affairs Board

7:30 p.m., Council Chamber, Templeton

The Lewis & Clark College Student Academic Affairs Board (SAAB) was created by vote of undergraduate students in February, 1982, when the Associated Students of Lewis & Clark (ASLC) reorganized to focus student involvement and student fee resources directly in support of the academic life of the College. Since its inception, SAAB has made over 650 grants across all academic departments for student-initiated research, visiting scholars, student participation in academic conferences, and senior fine arts performances. When these grants are combined with yearly funding of its student tutoring program, SAAB has dedicated over $750,000 in student fees in direct support of the academic mission of the College. This forum and celebration includes current SAAB representatives, alumni, grantees, and faculty highlighting the important work of this unique student-run organization.
