Friday, April 4, 8 p.m.

Evans Music Center

Preconcert discussion led by Dinah Dodds, Dean, Division of Arts & Humanities, Evans Music Center, Seitz Lounge, 7 p.m.

Seattle New Music Ensemble will perform Arnold Schoenberg's landmark expressionist work Pierrot lunaire. The work gave its name to the standard instrumentation of the 20th century, the Pierrot ensemble, and has influenced more music in the last century than any other single piece. Pierrot lunaire is a haunting, aching work of 21 movements steeped in atonal hyper-romanticism, and marks the end of the age, and the dawn of the Great War.

Tickets: $15 general, $10 LC employees & seniors, free to students (pick up complimentary ticket at Bookstore).

Available at the College Bookstore, FASTIXX outlets (503) 224-8499, or at the door.
